huckster
2 semitone keys not working on every 7 semitones. I don't feel this is a hardware issue like the keys are broken/dead and more of a software issue as there is a pattern to the error. -I can't do a factory reset as the key for the reset is one of the keys not working -Can one do a firmware update? My CDP-S100 is less than a year old. Thanks in advance.
Joe Muscara
Then it's still under warranty.

Mike Martin
Sounds like a physical issue that would need to be seen by an authorized warranty center.
huckster
Hmm, so after keeping CDP-S100 unplugged for an extended amount of time [a number of times I did this] as this is the only thing I could think of to maybe 'discharge the static electricity from the board' all the keys are working now! Not sure if this is what fixed it but its magically working again this morning! Of note, I do recall a really big thunder storm when this problem occurred. Investing in a 'power surge protector'! Thanks for you help Mike. 1
