Bootsy Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 Is there a way to record a song or a phrase to a midi file? And is there a way to transfer it to the thumb drive? What I'm trying to do is record bass lines to go with a beatbuddy drum loop within reaper. When I tried to record directly from the PX-5S to reaper on my PC, the lag was too much. Brad Saucier Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 Sounds like you might be using a Windows PC and monitoring sound from the computers built-in audio interface. If so, the latency is almost always due to Windows' native audio driver. You can try installing Asio4All on your computer and configure Reaper to use that driver. Lag was significantly less and I was able to add a bass line and then slightly adjust all the notes at once for timing.
