NakedRob
A problem developed after two years of playing this keyboard. The Bb3 key will not sound if the A3 key is depressed. Also, F3, A3, Bb3 will suddenly jump in volume drastically when hit. So my question: is this just a cleaning issue? Should I pull it apart and clean it up or is this a common issue with electronics in this particular model?
Brad Saucier
It could be just a cleaning issue. I'd start with the air trick, blow between the keys. It's worth a shot. And no, judging from the forums I read every day, it's not a common issue on the PX-S series. Goldberg's fan? NakedRob?
NakedRob
I am actually the real naked rob. I was on the show. They based the character on me. No lie. And thanks for the response!
Brad Saucier
I remember that. The football game? Pretty cool. Glad you found us. Keep us updated on the key issue. If the air doesn't help, it might be under warranty, so that's an option to consider.
NakedRob
Unfortunately cleaning did not do any good. Tried vacuuming out between the keys and still have this problem. Casio itself is pretty non-responsive to my emails.
NakedRob
I'm resigning myself to the fact that I am going to have to open it up and see what is going on.
Brad Saucier
Which email address are you using? Casio America is usually very responsive.

I would not recommend this unless you're out of warranty. I've contacted Casio customer service to reach out to you via your email that you registered here on the forum.
NakedRob
I wanted to say thank you yesterday but apparently I reached my quota on how many times I am allowed to post. I heard from Casio, registered the instrument, and I am now waiting to hear back. The Bb key, in the meantime, has gone completely dead. I cannot say how annoying and distracting that is when trying to practice. Update: This was the last thing I heard from Casio: "The info requesting a closer / alternative ASC was forwarded to the Coordinator Regards Andrew" No idea what that means. Brad Saucier
Definitely annoying to have a dead key! We're on the case, so it will be solved. Thanks for keeping us updated. NakedRob
This is the last message I received over a week ago. A local servicer should be in contact with you I'm guessing with the holidays things will be delayed. I'll give it until after New Year before I start looking for other keyboard options.
Brad Saucier
It's been a while, any updates?
NakedRob
I tried calling a guy who does repairs down here in New Orleans but he never responded. Pretty much thinking this is on me to fix now. So no, no solutions.
Brad Saucier
Well that's not good. I'm assuming you're still under warranty?
