Denicio
Hey guys, I am not a MIDI guru. My request seems possible in my mind (but so does me being a rock star!). I have a song that I want to slave my PX5S Arpeggiator to my DAW for perfect sync. Is there a way to do this where the Arp follows the BPM of my DAW (nuendo 5.1) Any insight will be appreciated.IF the answer is "Yes" please be as geeky with details as possible. Hugh O Kelly
For logic users, this is how it works at least for me ! Press system setting. Scroll to MIDI. Press enter. Scroll down to sync mode and change it to SLAVE. Then go into metronome settings in logic(on the bottom right)Then into synchronisation in that window you will see general audio midi unitorgo into midiTick transmit midi clock to ondestination 1 to allThe PX5S Arpeggiator works when logic is RUNNING
Denicio
Try this. Press system setting. Scroll to MIDI. Press enter. Scroll down to sync mode and change it to SLAVE. Well, when I set the PX5s to this setting it kills the sounds of my VSTi's and obviously does not arpeggiate. Even when I hit record. I wonder if there are settings in Nuendo 5 that I need to toggle to get this to work.Any Cubase/Nuendo users out there that have the solution to this? ThanksDennis
Mike Martin
Dennis, Make sure that Cubase is set to send MIDI clock to the Casio. It does not do this on all ports by default.
Denicio
I figured it out. Here is how I did it.Go to Transport>Project Sync Set up.In this rather large GUI you will see Midi Timecode Destinations. In there I ticked the Midi device I was using (Multiface Midi). Below that in Midi Clock Destinations I ticked the Midi Device (again, Multiface midi for me). Beside both of those options is an option I ticked called Midi Timecode Follows Project time.Once I did that the Arpegiattor follows Nuendo's tempo. This is NOT a global setting so any time I have a project I want this to work, I will have to adjust the settings.
