Nholtict
I've been informed to present my issue here. I purchased brand new the CGP-700 and played for about a week or so with the single pedal included. Quickly realized I wanted the security and functionality of the sp-33 so i purchased it. Once received I disconnected the single and connected the sp-33. Only the left 2 pedals worked, not the sustain. After factory defaulting, Casio tech support and reading decided to send back the pedal. New one is here and it's doing the same thing. Please tell me I'm missing a setting or something. Display Name
Hi and welcome to the Casio forums. On the "Controller" screen, please confirm that they are all set to on and then give it a try.
Nholtict
Thanks so much for posting but that did not work. I tried multiple combinations too for grins
Brad Saucier
It sounds like you have tried everything. It could be a faulty connection on the keyboard itself. Can you reach under and wiggle the connection while you try the pedal. That may cause it to work intermittently. That would be a solid clue if so. Nholtict
I've tried that as well. When I unplug the pedal with the piano on, sustain stays on no matter what. Like its recognizing the pedals there but not comprehending the data coming from it.
Nholtict
Faulty connection makes more sense if none of the pedals works. Other ideas?
Brad Saucier
Where are you located? North America? UK?

Display Name
I've tried that as well. When I unplug the pedal with the piano on, sustain stays on no matter what. This gives me an idea. Please try it just for giggles. Turn off the piano, hold down the sustain pedal on the SP-33 and turn on the piano while continuing to hold the pedal down. After it boots up, release the pedal and give it whirl.
Brad Saucier
Yes, it sounds like something is wired wrong somewhere.
Nholtict
I like where your head is. I tried it before and again just now. Nothing...
Display Name
Well this is a fine how-do-you-do! Bummer. Sounds like you've tried all the trouble-shooting steps, including the factory reset so I'm compelled to agree with Brad. Even if the other pedals work, it doesn't rule out a bad connection somewhere. Did you mail-order or buy from a local dealer?
Brad Saucier
Did you buy new? From a local store or online? Warranty? (Edit: What Scott said. Lol)
Nholtict
I purchased the piano brand new from a local dealer
Nholtict
I've reached out by voice mail and I'm hoping to hear back tomorrow. It's a hassle as I have no way to get it there. Had it delivered
Display Name
Well it's just the piano part that seems to be the issue. That only weighs 25 pounds so they should be able to exchange that for you. In the mean time, I'll reach out to Mike from Casio and see if he has any ideas. Regroup tomorrow?
Brad Saucier
Don't worry. You came to the right place and bought the right keyboard. You will be taken care of.

Francis
To: Nholtict, I'm wondering, did you ever find a solution to your pedal issue?
Mike Martin
Are you certain the dealer sold you a SP33, not a SP32? They look identical but there are some changes including the wiring.
Nholtict
Yes I did. It turned out to be the piano. Dealer swapped me out and Im jamming! I really appreciate the help though!
