To install: Click download. Store the downloaded file in the MUSICDAT folder of a USB flash drive and transfer the drive to your CT-S1000V. Press menu>media>load>reg bank. Proceed with the prompts to store the registration bank in keyboard memory. Press the registration button and select the bank you stored them in.

Brad's Country Shuffle (CT-X5000/3000)

I've created a totally new country shuffle rhythm on the Casio CT-X5000. This should also work well in a CT-X3000. This is a very simple rhythm with no frills, as any good keyboard country rhythm should be. It's extremely versatile, sounds authentic and can be used for tons of country rhythm tunes. The intro is a simple drum stick count-in. In the demo linked below, I'm using a custom piano tone (Piano2- included) to play the intro, lead, and ending over the backing rhythm elements. The rhythm does not play these piano parts for you. What is included in the rhythm is the drum track, a rhythm guitar and a rhythm piano. There are 2 fill-in elements, an intro and ending. Variations 1/2 are repeated as variations 3/4 respectively, but are remixed with piano rhythm taking a slightly more prominent position in the mix. 1/2 have rhythm guitar slightly more prominent than piano in the mix. SyFi Strings (CT-X3000/5000)

No sooner I upload the 11 tone pack, I created a tone I like so much I had to upload it. This started out as basic strings, but adding a DSP chain to it and tweaking the effects a bit made a really interesting tone. It's some EQ plus phaser, delay and a pitch shifter. Quick demo here....

This was something I originally did on the PX-5s. I have heard some people use the XW's for this song. I decided to give it a go myself.
This is a step sequence and performance file along with custom melody tones for playing this song.

SweetLead.ZTN - Tone used in the performance zones 1 and 2. Place in U:107.
SawSweet.ZTN - Tone used in the step sequence parts 10 and 11. Place in U:106
SquareSweet.ZTN - Tone used in the step sequence parts 12 and 13. Place in U:105
Bender wheel is disabled for the lead sounds. Pitch bend is tuning the tom drum hit in the step sequence by way of the sequencer control track.

These are two variations of factory tones designed to fit more easily into a mix. The volume differences between quiet and loud are not as wide, allowing easier blending when a more consistent volume level is desired.

Ukulele Strumming (MZ-X500)

UKULE2.ZLT is a hex layer tone.
UKULELST.ZAR is an arpeggio pattern.
Load these two files into your MZ-X500. Select the new Ukulele tone as Upper 1 tone. Enable the arpeggiator and select the new Ukulele arpeggio pattern. The hex layer tone will have the muted strum sound in the lower octave, while the rest of the keyboard will be for open strumming. To play the pattern, use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand while holding chords with your right hand for the arpeggiator to use. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously. To play the strum manually as in the second part of my demo, disable the arpeggiator and practice playing chords in a sweeping motion as if you are strumming with a flat pick on guitar strings.

Sweet Dreams Stage Setting (PX-5s)

If you use this stage setting, please let me know if you like it and how you used it. I learn music by ear. This stage setting started as I was learning how to play the song. I carefully listened to left and right channels of the original recording, trying to hear how it was played. Once I learned it well enough to play it myself, I recorded it into the sequencer on the MZ-2000, then converted that recording into phrases for the PX-5S. The rest of the work involved editing PX-5S tones until they sounded like the sounds heard in the original record.

This is a stage setting and sounds for playing the song Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics.
Sweet Dreams is the Stage Setting. Sweet Arp is the phrase that plays the synth sounds. Place this phrase in slot 120 Sweet Beat is the phrase for the drum pattern. Place this phrase in slot 121. Once loaded, make sure the Arpeggiator lamp is lit, then hit any key in the low end to start the pattern playing. The Synth Lead sound is in the upper range for playing the solo.

Old Upright (MZ-X500, hex layer)

A very different piano sound from the presets. Using hex layer synth mode, split shifting the factory piano samples dramatically alters the timbre. The result is a sound reminiscent of the old upright piano I grew up playing. This was a tone I originally programmed for the PX-5S, now ported to the MZ-X500.

PA Concert Grand

Yet another EQ'ed concert grand. This is a bright sound with good bass (smiley face EQ curve). This one offers help for those who may use problematic PA speakers and amps that make the piano sound muddy or dark. If you are a heavy handed player, adjust system settings>general>touch to heavy. Use LIGHT if are are a light player.
