  1. You would be surprised how many people ask why some organ tones are not velocity sensitive. As far as GM tones, I think all of them have to be velocity sensitive by the GM spec.
  2. I would store your preferred default setup as the first registration on your keyboard. That is what registrations are intended for. This way you always have a quick way to get back to your preferred settings. I'm not sure why settings seem to be changing on their own. This thread is the only place I've heard of this issue. No one in the Facebook groups has mentioned it, so this seems pretty rare. If it happens again, let us know.
  3. Basically, things are posted whenever someone comes up with an idea and creates something cool to share. I don't know if anyone is adhering to an upload schedule.
  4. Press the demo button to play the demo song. Does it play?
  5. Check that your USB mode on the phone is set to MIDI and not file transfer or some other mode.
  6. Yes. The CT-X3000 will function as a USB MIDI device.
  7. CT-X3000 is plug and play. No driver downloads are needed.
  8. You'll need a cable like Rod pictured. Furthermore, your current cable is connecting an unbalanced stereo signal from your keyboard to a balanced mono input on your interface. That's not a good scenario. Also, be sure to change the input mode on your interface to line level rather than guitar level. Make sure the light is off on the guitar button.
  9. The PX-5S will always jump to value when the slider is moved.
  10. The dial should always work. There are no settings that can disable it on the CDP-S350. If you are unable to use the dial for selecting any tones, rhythms, or navigation in menus, it is malfunctioning. Since it is 1 day old, I would contact the store you purchased it from. They might be able to provide an exchange for a working unit.
  11. I'll post a link below that has a list of service centers around the US. I would contact the closest one to you. They should be able to help. https://www.casio.com/support/musicservicecenters
  12. Okay, we'll take this step by step. Your best option with the PX-760 is to connect the headphone output of the piano to your computer and use Audacity to record the audio. Does your computer have a mic/line input jack? If so, you can use a cable with appropriate plugs to connect. If not, you'll need an audio interface, all as suggested by Jokeyman above.
  13. You can use knob 2 to adjust any parameter that is highlighted on the screen. That's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's something. And you can assign sliders and knobs to all of the typical MIDI CC messages. It ends up being similar to the G1 in the live control aspect.
  14. In performance mode press edit>zone param and cursor down to Arp Enable. Turn that off for each zone you don't want arpeggio on. Use the part + - buttons to quickly switch zones while the cursor is on the arp enable setting.
  15. Hi Tim. Welcome to the forums! Well, the PX-5S is the only Casio digital piano I know of that can MIDI slave to an external clock, but it does not have auto accompaniment. It has a phrase function and 4 arpeggiators instead, since it's designed as a stage piano and performance synth.
  16. Interesting question. I have not tried that particular scenario. I'll try it later and see what I can come up with. You may need to simply leave your system track for rhythm use only and use solo tracks for your individual tones. That's the workflow I typically use.
  17. We would need someone with experience in Pro Tools to answer this. In the meantime, Pro Tools should have documentation on installing patch scripts.
  18. Are you still getting a true stereo signal? It sounds like phase cancellation in the stereo signal is causing the issue, possiblity due to the cable. What type of cable are you using? Is it seated properly in the jacks?
  19. I would use a cable that would adapt to the unbalanced RCA inputs.
  20. That tone does not have velocity controlled articulations, but it does have a great vibrato effect when you hold the note longer.
  21. Try the solo violin tone. It's quite nice. You could layer that with the stereo strings tone and get some really nice sound. Edit the solo violin tone and raise the filter cutoff a smidge for a brighter sound.
