This is a bit different than anything else I have attempted. I worked with the hex layer waves to create both a Ukulele open picked and muted picked string sound. Initially there will be an arpeggio pattern active on zone 2 that will automatically strum for you. I also created a phrase that is active on zone 1 and plays the muted strum for you. You will need to load the included phrase separately for that. I recommend using it. The downside to the strum phrase is it's not velocity sensitive. Playing the muted strum manually will allow velocity sense. The arpeggio button is what turns on/off all of the automation. If you only want to turn off one zone of automation, press and hold the arpeggio button, select the zone, then go down to zone and change it to off.
To play the pattern use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously.
Zone 1 = Muted Ukulele in the lower octaves (strum emulation created by the arpeggiator running the STRUM phrase)
Zone 2 = Open Ukulele in the upper octaves (strum pattern created by a modified factory arpeggio pattern)
Slider 1 = Expression level of the muted strum zone 1
Slider 2 = Expression level of the open ukulele zone 2
Slider 6 = Reverb level
Knobs = Master EQ (preset to this stage setting for the ukulele sound)
Download the STRUM phrase separately and place in user slot 150

Inspired by Oxygene the album. This is a knob and slider tweaking playground. Tweak away and have fun.

These are some of my personal user tones for the MZ-2000. Some of these date back more than 10 years. These are random tones I designed for various projects in the past.

This is by no means complete but I figured I would post it since I probably won't finish it any time soon. It's for playing the signature arp pattern and piano on the song of the same name.
2 arpeggiators are synced in this setup. The arp is in the upper octaves and piano is lower.
Pressing and holding F6 will start the first arp pattern and sync the second one to the first. While continuing to hold F6, play D7 and E7 and so on (you'll have to learn the pattern) to sound the second arp and complete the pattern. The second arp is synced to the first so that it can fire it's notes in the offbeat of the first arp. This somewhat simulates the marimba repeat feature on the original Lowery organ. Unfortunately, the original organ seems to have many alternating zones. The PX5 doesn't have enough arps and zones to fully emulate the original organ so I rearranged the first arp pattern to make up for some of it.
This stage setting would need to be accompanied by more stage settings containing other variations of the arp pattern. It get's a bit complicated so I have come to a standstill on this.

This is my take on the distorted organ/synthy sound heard in the song Gold on the Ceiling by The Black Keys.
Try all versions. Let me know what you think in the comments. Version 2 is my pick for the song.
I added portamento for version 3 since the sound is kinda synthy and reminds me of the XW solo synth.

My attempt at the sounds for playing the intro to the 1987 recording of Here I Go Again by Whitesnake. Mike Martin tackled this song early on by request. I decided to start from scratch with my own interpretation of the sound. Piano is in the lowest octave.

This is a stage setting that can be used to play a portion of the song Bizzare Love Triangle by New Order. Load up all the files and hit any key in the low end to start the beat. You may want to set the arpeggiator to hold. The sound here was done with 2 phrases running under the arpeggiator. They are playing a custom drum set on Z1 and a custom hexlayer on Z2. Zone 3 is a bell type sound for playing a melody in the middle section if you wish. Zone 4 is the signature synth arpeggio for fill ins and is in the upper most range of the keyboard.
Slider 1 - Bass on/off

Slider 3 - mute guitar arpeggio on/off

Stage Setting with String Section and Trombone across the entire range and Concert Timpani/Snare/Strings in the lower range

This is a stage setting with oboe in the mix. The strings have a wider sound stage while the oboe is centered in the mix. Pedal 2 adds expression.

A stage setting with mildly prominent trombone mixed with strings. This stage setting has a very realistic wide sound stage with the trombone center of the mix. Pedal 2 adds expression.

Here's some of my synth tones I've created. I collected them and categorized them. This is a set of 10 saw based tones. These were all inspired by one thing or another. The cryptic abbreviations of the tones hint at what I was going for although now I don't even remember some of them.

Check your stage setting filter. Master compressor is ON by factory default. My compressor tweaks in this ss will not load if the master compressor is ON in stage setting filters)

What was tweaked to make this:

Master EQ: All parts
Master Compressor: All parts
Early Reflection DSP added to piano and tweaked
Thumb piano pitch key follow and amp velocity sense
Air Concrt Grand cutoff and amp velocity sense
And other minor tweaks

This is a sound effect tone for adding key release or hammer release noise to a piano tone. I've been using this in my own piano tone. This is a hex tone that you can put on Zone 2 while your piano is on zone 1.

Here it is. Samples of the little sampler from the 80's. These are the drum kit sounds from the SK-1.
There are 8 samples from the SK-1 here so I split them among 2 tones since the G1 only allows 5 samples per tone.
The drum samples in the 2 wave tones are automatically lined up along the lowest 8 naturals when you layer them in 2 zones.

This is an improved Harpsichord tone for the Casio MZ-2000. This one adds pluck sounds and some extra body to the overall tone.

American Bluegrass is a stage setting for playing a Bluegrass music rhythm. It contains a custom hexlayer tone on zone 2. Zone 2 covers Acoustic Bass, Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin. I created a phrase that plays all of the instruments in zone 2's hexlayer. Download the Phrase "Flat&Scruggs" and place it in user slot 141. Start the rhythm by pressing the A2 key. There is a range around A2 that will transpose the key of the recorded phrase. The range is small since the sound becomes unnatural outside of that range. Keep in mind that the PX-5S is not an Auto Accompaniment Keyboard. Auto-Accomp uses chord shifting and detection techniques that the PX-5S was never intended to need or use.
Download Scruggs2 Phrase in place of the Flatt&Scruggs Phrase to eliminate the major 3rd notes.
Sliders 1-4 turn on/off the different instruments in the rhythm.
Slider 6 adjust the overall volume of the rhythm.
Slider 5 turns on/off zone 1 for no good reason.

A day of random synth programming lead to the sound heard on Zone 1 of this. I then layered it with the Ice Castles Hex layer.

Thanks to the PX-5's powerful hex layer synth I was able to get a decent approximation of the sound of a toy piano by using 12 layers of other wave sounds.
