Dshoff
Hi, After having my casio for a couple of years, I am somtimes having trouble changing from one preset to another. When I am on the first preset, lets say 01, and I push, lets say, 06, many times it won't let me change to that preset. On my screen I see flickering of words like volume, or expression, so I think a slider or two is messing up my ability to change presets. Can anybody help?? Dshoff
One more thing, I am having to completely turn off my keyboard to get to another preset and it's driving me crazy! David
Brad Saucier
Unfortunately it sounds like you'll need to send your PX in for service. I doubt a factory reset will do anything to help but try that first just in case. System settings>initalize all. You'll lose all user data so create a backup. Display Name
The flickering of the words is troublesome - but just to be clear: You ARE pressing the BANK button first to change presets, correct?
Dshoff
Scott, no I am not, but I only have about 7 presets so I never have to go above 10. So I didn't think I had to press the bank unless I went over 10, isn't that correct?
Brad Saucier
Correct. You only need to press bank to change banks. Switching stage settings within a single bank is simply pressing the stage setting number buttons.
Display Name
^^^ This ^^^ I wasn't sure what exactly you were trying to do. Sounds like it's malfunctioning .
Dshoff
Brad, I've learned alot on how to do things on the keyboard, so I'm embarassed to ask, can you tell me how to create a backup? Are there instructions somewhere for that? Thanks, David
Dshoff
Brad and Scott, The flickering is exactly like I am moving one of the sliders. In fact I think I've found out that is is the third slider. I think I may try to just turn that slider off and change those settings to another slider and see if that works. Is this a big cost to get it fixed? Either way, if my idea doesn't work, I'm gonna have to get it fixed. Thanks! David
Brad Saucier
Try self cleaning the slider by moving it the full range a bunch of times. Might just be dirt. Worth a shot.
Dshoff
Brad, I've done that a lot and it's gotten a lot better. I've also found that if I put the slider up the whole way it doesn't mess up. So while I won't be able to use the 3rd slider, I won't have to send it in to get fixed!
