Brooster
Is the Yamaha ModX a host device? Can a PX-S3000 control the sounds on a ModX? I would expect that you would have to used the interface buttons on the ModX but can a PX-S300 control the notes, velocity, and pitch blend and maybe the other two knobs above the pitch bend could control something. Jokeyman123
Hook up the PX-S3000 to your computer, install Midi-ox (a Windows based midi program, excellent for alot of mid stuff on the computer and beyond) and monitor what is coming out of the PX-Midiox will show the midi data sent out from the PX and will show you exactly what it is if you know how to read CC messages. Then you can take it from there. I'd guess you'd have to get some kind of midi implementation chart for the Modx to see what CC messages it is able to receive. With that information I think you will have a better idea of what you can do with the 2.
Brad Saucier
The PX-S3000 works to do all of those things. The only question left here is about the Yamaha. Is it a MIDI host device so you can connect the USB MIDI cable directly to it? I'm not sure, but I think Kronos remains the only keyboard capable of being a USB MIDI host. All Dexibell keyboards running their latest OS are capable of being USB MIDI hosts.

djdisbro
The lastest OS update (2.0) on the MODX allows it to act as a USB Host. MODX OS Updater V2.00 Scroll down to the Version History section.
