Mastersynth
Hi everyone, I think that's time to have a new update allowing to have some useful control settings, considering their midi availability, such as "mono/poly", "portamento/legato/time portamento", "effects on/off", etc. The hardware, such the touch screen, surely allows a lot of versatility!! Brad Saucier
The PX-360 does not have any firmware updates.
Mastersynth
Of course I'm well aware!! It was just a useful suggestion. It could be done in one person-day, it's just a matter of will, as a worthy consideration for some customers 😉
Jokeyman123
Only Casio can create firmware updates-this is computer code and language that is "hard-wired" into their licensed operating system. As an end-user, you would be violating copyright laws if you could access and change the firmware codes, which you will not be able to do without specific Casio software routines, user privileges and the proper equipment I am guessing. Casio Japan I understand has to re-write the code to fix any bugs or change specific functions to any Casios, not an easy task. You need pretty good programming "chops" to know how to do this, even with the right software user privileges, code and equipment. Sort of like, you just created a 300-page novel, and after it has printed and after it has sold 100,000 copies, somebody discovered that page 231 is missing. Now the entire novel has to be fixed, and reprinted....or something like that.
Mastersynth
No need to such a pleading to conceal real facts. As Napoleon had said :"When you want you can, when you can you must" NB: it's not a question of fixing any bug, it's a simple suggestion that would bring a valuable upgrade to the instrument, that is not asking too much!!
