Richard Hawkins
Hi, forgive me if I have missed the obvious. I was just watching a video for the Steinway Spirio which plays other people's performances and wondered whether there was a place to download performances for the px 560? Either official or user files.
Brad Saucier
Hi Richard. Yes, that's what's called a MIDI file. You can search the internet for piano MIDI files and find a vast number of them out there. The quality will vary, so it takes some trial and error to find ones you like. The format your PX-560 can play is MID. You can copy the files to a USB drive and play then using the MIDI recorder on the PX-560. Hope that helps. Richard Hawkins
Thanks Brad, I did miss the obvious! My assumption, based on a lot of early computer generated midi, was that midi files are not that good. But I will look into it and see what I can find. Thanks again
Jokeyman123
I have a few hundred. If you are looking for something in particular, I can upload a few here. I have my thumb drive loaded with many-but there also many websites that will allow for free downloads. ansd since midi files are relatively small-you could literally load thousands on a good-sized thumb drive or SD card, even a small card or drive. Hi Jockeyman123, Sorry for the slow reply. I have looked for some files but everything I get sounds like it is computer generated. No dynamic range at all and might as well be played with mallets! Any pointers to good sources of actual real human performance midi recordings would be good. I was particularly looking for stuff by Einaudi, and very specifically Liszt's Consolation No. 3. (I found a file of Liszt's Consolation No. 3, but the two hands were really badly balanced. It didn't sound like any performance I'd ever heard!) Also, any kind of piano music in that ball park. Thanks Richard
