Luca di Cerneglons
Hi, my old Roland E 86 keyboard has got a feature that auto recognize chords while you're playng. Does my new PX-S1100 do the same (using Casio Music Studio or some other software )? Thanx in Advance. Luca
Brad Saucier
E86 is an arranger keyboard. Those have auto accompaniment. PX-S3100 has auto accompaniment. Unfortunately PX-S1100 does not.
Luca di Cerneglons
Thank you again, Brad, for the quick response. I've got just the last question.. May I connect the PX-S1100 to other software that recognize MIDI input like Cubase, MusicMaker ecc)? thanks, Luca
Brad Saucier
Sure, the PX-S1100 works great as a MIDI controller. Just connect a USB cable between it and your computer. The computer will automatically setup your piano as a "Casio USB MIDI" controller, selectable in any software with MIDI controller support. Jokeyman123
Luca, sorry to stomp in-there used to be software programs that can act as full auto-arrangers when connected to a keyboard such as the Casio. maybe not anymore, the last I had was for windows XP and was called "One Man Band"-although I find it still exists here.... http://www.1manband.nl/omb/ The other alternative-Brad you know this one-"Band In a Box" although this has developed into quite a complex program, might be more than you need but is very good for creating real-time backing, still seems the best I've seen for Windows OS. I have it and use it. Here is a screenshot of Band in a Box, I am using an older version. Edited September 16, 2023 by Jokeyman123
