Denicio
This will sound like a novice question. Sorry. I am a pro recording engineer and barely understand MIDI. I have a session coming up tomorrow that will require me to record two MIDI instruments at once. At the moment my RME Multiface has only ONE Midi Input. To date, when I have used my PX5S I have used the regular ole Midi 5 Pin to my RME and only gave the USB out a passing glance. I am now faced with either buying an additional Midi interface (which I don't really need) or I am HOPING that the USB out of the PX5S transmits Midi. If so, how? Are there settings in Cubase 7.5 I would need to set so it would also see the USB midi? There is a GOOD chance that if the PX5S came with Drivers, I did not install them. Any advice on this is urgently and greatly needed.Any step by step geeky directions are appreciated. Thanks ya'llDennis in Memphis.
Normski
Hi DennisJust plug it in and wait, it will be picked up by the O/S. No special drivers needed, (windows ok, not sure about Mac these days)Then look in Cubase for the Usb midi input.just use it as normal.Norm
Brad Saucier
Norm is correct. No drivers needed on most computers. It will show up as Casio USB when the computer detects it.
