PA Concert Grand

Yet another EQ'ed concert grand. This is a bright sound with good bass (smiley face EQ curve). This one offers help for those who may use problematic PA speakers and amps that make the piano sound muddy or dark. If you are a heavy handed player, adjust system settings>general>touch to heavy. Use LIGHT if are are a light player.

Mello Piano - reduced Bell Tone

This is an attempt to get rid of the harsher high end that some people perceive as a "bell tone". There is filtering on the high end and then boosts with the master EQ in an attempt to get back some of which was filtered.

SLIDER 6 IS MASTER VOLUME CONTROL FOR SLIDERS 1,2 AND 3
FOR ALL OF THE PAD, STRING, APRG SOUNDS.
TO ALLOW SOLO PIANO BRINGING IN OTHER SOUNDS OR REMOVING THEM AT WILL.
ALSO; DEFAULT IS SET TO DYNO E PIANO IN ZONE 4 WHICH CAN BE SWITCHED BACK TO GRAND PIANO VERY EASILY
BY SELECTING THE PIANO TAB FROM THE TONE SELECTIONS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PX-5S
SELECT E PIANO AND IT GOES BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DEFAULT.

This is an update to the original file.
I chose a better Grand Piano tone available to Zone 4 by pressing 1st Piano Tab in the tone section of the keyboard
and used Slow Strings instead of Concert Strings in Zone 1
Default is EP Dyno Piano
Chorus on the Mod Wheel.
Slider 6 is a master volume for sliders 1,2, 3
Separate Piano volume is on slider 4
This is an alteration of Mike Martin's ZPF called PianoScape.

Steinway D with different EQ settings

I was not satisfied with those preset Grand Pianos, so I took a nicely altered Grand from another user and changed some parameters, especially EQ.
So here are five very good sounding Grands (in my ears), a dark/warm/mellow one, a bright one, a medium one.
I eliminated reverb and most of the pedal damper noise..
Faders 1-4 work as EQ (mostly), Fader 5 is for choosing frequency of Fader 6 (Gain) , you can make very fast changes with those two..
Now I am fullly satisfied with the Grand sound, like it more than any other stage piano´s Steinway. I am using it with a pair of Presonus Ceres 4.5 and this combination sings lovely!

It is a Piano that reminds a bit Yamaha S90ES Full Natural Grand.
I've done it in the form a HEX Layer, in order to have differente waves participating to the final tone.
It has a bit of woody taste, thanks to the eletric piano wave inside.

Piano Sospiro

This is an edit I made to the original Lofi upright stage setting by Brad.
That piano is a hex tone made from combining piano hex layers.
It's been so long, I can't remember what I did to it exactly.
I meant to work some more on it to get it perfect but I never get around to it so I thought I'd upload it as it is now before I forget to ever do it.
When I make it better, I'll upload a version 2.
It is the main piano stage setting I always use. I think it sounds like a really authentic piano. I prefer it to the default grand.
Make sure to check out sliders one and two.
Slider One will increase the volume on a hex-tone made out of white and pink noise. The cut off is set so it creates a very haunting tone.
Slider Two adds distortion.
Kick up the reverb and you can get some really haunting piano sounds.
It reminds me of an old piano being played in a large empty house.
You can hear the stage setting in this video I made from a MIDI file I found online and played through the PX5s but sliders 1 and 2 are not used in this demo.
I named the stage setting after this piece.

Clearway

It took a few years, now and then trying to altering the EQ for my needs.
Now...for ME it is just what I dreamed of: a clear, transparent and dynamic sound, crisp and strong without a booming bass and muffled mids.
Like a mountain spring!

Piano With Fast Strings

Not a string pad with piano. Fast attack and short decay string sound one octave above the piano to emulate a string section playing fast passages along with your piano. Works best in the center third of the keyboard.
Slider 2 controls the strings one octive up
Slider 3 controls strings in the same octave. In my opinion, fast strings in the same octave doesn't work as well as the octave up and can tend to sound more like a steel drum.

PCG Grand1.zpf

Hi, recently became a new owner and ran into what some have referred to as the "Glass Bell" sound on only a few notes an octave up from middle C (Bb4 - E5).
So I really love the GrPnoConcert patch but just not that Glass Bell region, so I thought what If I spliced in Brad Saucier's Old Upright (Brambach upright) just from Bb4 - E5. I ended up having to tweak's Brad's original file slightly but still Hats off to Brad's work!!! Thanks Brad!
The end result is that its GrPnoConcert on zone1 from lowest note to A4 and zone 3 from F5 to highest register then added a modified "Brambach" on zone2 (I renamed to NoGlassPiano.zlt since its been modified) from Bb4 - E5. I think if you tried using the NoGlassPiano for the full keyboard it wouldn't sound so great, I tweaked the EQ to compensate for that small note region so it would sound kind of tunneled out. Anyway hope I don't tick off anyone here, I tried to make sure I gave Brad the correct credit due! I still don't know how he worked out the Glass Bell tone?

Modern Worship

I haven't used my PX-5S for worship but I got a gig that required it. All the tunes were pretty much just ethereal pads and some piano. So I used Maximillion as a start, as it's a pretty full and thick Hexlayer, removed layers 5 and 6, and added a zone 2 with a Grand Piano. Two sliders govern the volume of zone 1 (hexlayer) and zone 2 (piano). The first four sliders control the volumes of the 4 layers in the hexlayer. Knob 3 is high gain, knob 4 is reverb.
I like this setting because I can do JUST pads or JUST piano, fading in the entire hex layer or controlling individual aspects via the sliders. Have fun!

80s Stage Piano

Stage Settings made with the idea of loosely approximating the Roland RD1000 digital piano or MKS-20 module (I don't have one but compared the sound with a Roland JV module that has some samples of it). It doesn't sound the same, but does quite a good job for 80s ballads, I guess.

SWEET PIANO by COR7 for PX-5S

I needed a nice piano patch, not too mellow not too bright piano, just right in the middle,
and with some lush reverb like atherial sounding, of course adjustble by slider 6, you can even cancel it if you want.

Flavell Grand Piano

Hello everyone,
Here is a patch I've been pouring some time into over the past week - the Flavell Grand Piano 🎹🎵🤠
This is technically the second iteration of this stage setting; the initial setting was crafted by Carenso Ivy. That said, I believe I've modified his work substantially enough to now call it my own 😄
The controls are standard:
The four knobs adjust various EQ levels The first four sliders control the layers of T2 (leave them alone unless you really, really want to hear various types of key noise) Slider 5 controls delay Slider 6 controls reverb
‼️👉One large modification I've made is that the mod wheel controls the release of all layers.
Turn the wheel all the way up for very short release I find that, if I want a bit more bite to the keys, I turn up the mod wheel about 1/4 of the way Tip: try pairing short release with minimal reverb for extremely short release (mod wheel up, slider 6 down) Turn the wheel all the way down to go back to normal

esta es mi versión de piano acústico. está hecho a capas en hex layer para tratar de lograr una dinámica más opaca en las velocidades suaves. lo he combinado con un pad en el canal 2 y un elec piano similar al mks-20. wn los knobs he puesto el ecualizador de 4 bandas modificando los rangos de frecuencias y en los sliiders 3 al 6 he puesto en orden chorus Piano Proyect 9

Esta es mi versión de Piano acústico. Está hecho a capas en Hex Layer para tratar de lograr una dinámica mas opaca en las velocidades suave y mas brillante en las velocidades fuertes. Lo he acompañado con un Pad en el slider 2 y un ep piano en el slider 3 tipo MKS-20. En los Knobs deje el ecualizador a 4 bandas, pero modifique la tabla de frecuencias. En los sliders 3 a 6 hay un Chorus, un Delay y una Reverb para emular las resonancias y espacio muy pequeño o muy grande.
La perilla de modulación se puede también usar para exagerar un poco la resonancia.
Es un sonido mono mono aural, ya que no pude encontrar muestras estéreo para trabajar a tres capas y dejar las notas agudas en capas independientes en un solo hex layer.

s700 Piano S90 ES

Esta es mi versión del afamado sonido de piano acústico s700, obviamente no a partir de muestras nuevas, pero modificando las muestras internas, con los filtros y parámetros disponibles en hex layer. Lo he construido en un escenario de piano concert grand, que viene de fábrica, pero modifiqué los parametros del chorus, resonancia, reverb, delay, eq y otros. Asigné mas resonancia a partir del pedal de sustain. Tiene tres capas de muestras, mas no de velocidad, las he colocado en paralelo, con diferentes ataques, decay y relajación. El resultado me ha gustado bastante para tocar en directo solo con piano, todos los parametros de los Knobs y sliders, se pueden usar en directo para conseguir resultados muy buenos para sonar lo mas cerca a un piano acústico y también hasta como un RD 1000, hay cutoff, resonance, attack, chorus, delay y reverb en los sliders, y eq a cuatro bandas en los knobs, Que lo disfruten.
