  1. Brad Saucier's post in Password to download files from Music Library? What password? was marked as the answer
Solved on Facebook.  The answer, files from Casio support website which are password protected have instructions on the download page for how to find the password.  The password is basically the name of a button on the keyboard, as indicated on the download page.
  2. Brad Saucier's post in Help with recording to laptop (newbie) was marked as the answer
CT-X700 audio out is the 1/4 inch stereo headphone jack.  You'll need a cable with a 1/4 inch TRS plug one one end, and the other end 2 RCA plugs to fit the UCA222.  You might also want to check your laptop.  Some of them come with mic/line inputs that can work well for audio recording.
  3. Brad Saucier's post in Saving Touch Response and Speaker Settings was marked as the answer
In the function menu under other, turn on Auto Resume.
  4. Brad Saucier's post in midi driver for casiotone ct-s300 was marked as the answer
Drivers are installed by the operating system automatically.  Check your USB cable.  Make sure it is data capable.  Charging only cables will not work.
  5. Brad Saucier's post in Tuning to 432 was marked as the answer
Welcome to the forums Meg!  Sure, press menu, system setting.  You'll see tuning there.  You may also want to scroll down and turn on auto resume to store your changes for the next time you power up.
  6. Brad Saucier's post in Auto Harmonize Function was marked as the answer
Hi Marc, welcome to the forums.  Are you seeing the dot indicator on the screen show up next to auto harmonize?  If so, it should be ready to go.  Next step is to turn on accompaniment and play a chord in the chord section.  While a chord is playing, your right hand parts will have harmony notes added.
  7. Brad Saucier's post in External Audio Into CT-X5000 was marked as the answer
Yes, the X5000 has an audio input which combines with internal sounds.
  8. Brad Saucier's post in Converting a .MRF file to Midi was marked as the answer
Song conversion requires a USB flash drive and converting within the keyboard itself.  Use the media save menu to save a song in SMF format.  See the section in the CTX manual on USB flash drive operations for details on menu navigation.  The menu path is; function>media>save>MltR SMF.
  9. Brad Saucier's post in CT-X3000/5000 song book? was marked as the answer
The password is written on the keyboard above the button indicated in the photos on the song book download page.  The password is the button name.
  10. Brad Saucier's post in Casio Privia PX-120 Contact board was marked as the answer
If parts used in other models are compatible, it would most likely be listed here on the PX-120 page.  If you click on the part listing, it will bring up a page with a list of other models which use that part.
  11. Brad Saucier's post in CDP-S350 Recording in Audacity over USB? was marked as the answer
The USB port on the CDP-S350 is for MIDI only.  It does not transmit audio.  Audacity is only able to record from audio sources.  You will need to connect the pianos audio output to an audio input on your computer.  That may be a built in mic/line input your computer may have, or a USB audio interface.
  12. Brad Saucier's post in No sound coming out of speakers was marked as the answer
I would try compressed air from a can.  If that does not work, there is a deeper issue.  If you are under warranty, I would sent it in.
  13. Brad Saucier's post in How to adjust pitch bend level ? was marked as the answer
Yes, according to the user manual, it is found by pressing Function>Controller>Pitch Bend>Pitch Bend Range.
  14. Brad Saucier's post in DSP for zones other than 1 was marked as the answer
Use the zone + - buttons to change zones.  You'll see Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4 in the display.  Then press the DSP button.  That will be the insert effect for the currently selected zone.  You can save the change by overwriting the stage setting.
  15. Brad Saucier's post in Privia PX-150 out of tune - what should I do? was marked as the answer
Sounds like you need to reset temperament to EQUAL. Look in the manual on pages E-20 through E-23.  You will need to use the function keys to change temperament.
  16. Brad Saucier's post in PX-130 MIDI issues was marked as the answer
The PX-130 has two usb modes, storage and midi.  You will need to make sure it is in midi mode for use as a controller.

  17. Brad Saucier's post in Problem switching banks was marked as the answer
This is how it should go.....

    1) Press the bank button and release.  Button will light up.  Not flashing.
    2) Type in the bank number using the number buttons.  Bank number on the display screen will begin flashing.
    3) Type in the set number.  Bank number on the display will be completed, stop flashing and take you to the stage setting.

Notice: "Initialize" is written above the bank number button with a "press and hold" symbol below it.  This means pressing and holding the bank button will perform an "initialize" of the current stage setting.
  18. Brad Saucier's post in startup Stage Setting control? was marked as the answer
    System settings>general>auto resume on/off.

OFF, it always powers up on 0-0.
ON, it powers up with the last stage setting in use.
  19. Brad Saucier's post in Problem with sliders was marked as the answer
There is your problem.  You turned off gen out.  Besides the keys, that also disables all slider/knob and pedal control over the sound engine. Instead, limit zone key range down to 1 note somewhere off of the 88 keys.
  20. Brad Saucier's post in Error Message on Powerup was marked as the answer
This ^^^^.   The firmware update corrects this issue.  Your PX-5s must not have been on the latest version 1.13.  Once updated, this will never happen again.

Go here and download the firmware....http://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=436

Unzip the file and place it on a FAT32 formatted flash drive, not in any folder.

With the PX-5s power OFF, plug the flash drive into the PX-5s.  Now power ON the PX-5s.  It will automatically install the update and return to normal.

  24. Brad Saucier's post in casio wk-6500 was marked as the answer
Sounds like the WK might be set to Casio Chord mode.  That is a one finger chord mode.

    1 note plays a major
    2 notes plays a minor
    3 notes play a 7th.
    4 notes play a minor 7th

You are playing full chords instead of one finger so you will want to set the WK to a fingered chord mode.

Press and hold the Accomp on/off button to change it.
  25. Brad Saucier's post in My new px-s5 will not come up in Grand Piano mode ? was marked as the answer
Hi Guy.   Check the wheel labeled MODULATION.  It should be in the full down position to prevent sound modulation.
