shep
Hi All, had a PX5S but found as a working keyboardist changing tones was slow with sometimes many button pushes needed through the banks. Went to a controller with iGrand Sample Tank etc software, however, I have found the unreliability of software based equipment for live performances frustrating due to latency problems , computer glitches and midi interface problems. Currently I have a PX S3000 on order . Does anyone know many touches needed for quick tone changes live? I do love the advertised light weight and compactness. If tone changes can be managed quickly should be a winner......Shep
Brad Saucier
Hi Shep. You are in time to catch Mike Martin on April 17th in a live video clinic about the PX-S3000. You could ask your questions there and get an excellent answer. For the time being, I'll try to answer. I think the tone selection and registration selection would be similar to the PX-5S, however the PX-S3000 has another option. Basically, a touch screen can be added by connecting a compatible Android or iOS device. Casio created the Chordana Play for piano app to act as another interface, among other things. It appears to be very easy to use and allows touch screen access most controls. Here is a link to the video clinic... https://www.crowdcast.io/e/px-s3000 You can also find it in the announcement section on this forum. Also check out my pinned post for more info on the app and manuals....

vbdx66
Hi Brad, I registered for the PX-S3000 live clinic, will a replay be available? Here in Europe it will take place in the middle of the night 😴

Any webinar you've registered for on crowdcast remains available to watch later (it may depend upon the settings set by the broadcaster, but so far Casio has allowed me to review the ones I've seen so I suspect they will for this one as well).

Joe Muscara
The invite I saw for this webinar said, "Even if you are unable to join the webinar on the 17th, please register so you'll have access to the recording once it's finished." Now we are sure people will definitely be able to watch it later, just register in advance.

kybdsammer
Great live clinic today on the PX-S3000. Mike Martin did a fantastic job of answering questions and demoing some of the excellent sounds and capabilities! I can't wait to get my hands on one.
Joe Muscara
Oh man, me too! I could talk to Mike all day about what the PX-S3000 can do until I get one. He did a great job.
Brad Saucier
Yep, Mike did a great job. I missed the first 30 minutes though. About to go catch up on the rerun. https://www.crowdcast.io/e/px-s3000
kybdsammer
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I thought the title of this thread is simple and direct. Rich Formidoni performs on the Privia PX-S3000 Digital Piano - all playing and no talking. Another great demo of the sounds! I appreciate the video shots of the sounds used too. Jokeyman123
Very nice demo-shows what can be done with tasteful backing tacks, and tasteful playing. And the Casio sounds fantastic. If I didn't already have 3 88-key Casios (!) this would definitely fit into my house.
Pedro Rinaldi
Hy. Does any one have some Van Halen sounds ready? Can you share? I need to play Jump, Dreams and Why Cant This Be love but i cant find the right sound for this in the px 3000.
Bobbo
Earlier this fall Mike Martin answered your question as to the sound in "Jump." He said, " “BrightSawPd2” pretty much nails it," and he's right.
