dbecker22
I'm working with midi files in Sonar X3 Studio and triggering sounds on my PX-560M. I have a M-Audio M-track connected to my PC via USB. With a midi cable I connected from the midi out on the M-Track to the midi in my PX-560M. When I load midi files into Sonar and press play all correct sounds on the PX-560M start playing except for the drums. All I get is a piano sound. I haven't found a way to change to the correct program to trigger PX-560M drum sounds from Sonar. I like the standard set on the 560. Instrument Definition files can be loaded into Sonar and that may correct everything. I can't find the Instrument Definition File for the PX-560M in the Sonar(Cakewalk) database. Cakewalk was acquired by Bandlab in 2018. I was routed to Bandlab.com but that site is no help. Does anyone know where I can get the Definition File for the PX-560M? Any other solutions? Jokeyman123
I think there is one posted somewhere here, not sure its specifically for the PX560, I think it is. I will look around. I use Cakewalk and loaded the INS for one of my Privias recently. It is called an INS file. Wait, here it is, designed another Casio member here...........
Jokeyman123
I had installed it when it first was posted, it works. Even with an old version of Cakewalk I use.
Brad Saucier
Make sure your PX-560 firmware is up to date. To recall, the original version didn't have GM system set to ON by default. https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=1263
Jokeyman123
Right-this works with version 1.15, the last firmware update available which I had already installed.
