Groove On
I'm wondering what real-world instruments the CT-S1 organs are based on. Does anyone know or have a guess? Jazz Organ (Hammond?) Velo. Organ Rock Organ Pipe Organ Amp Organ Reed Organ (Wurlitzer?) Gospel Organ F-Organ (Farfisa?) V-Organ (Vox Continental?) Piano Tone
James Shawcross indicated in his review he felt rock organ (organ 3-modern) was a Vox Continental (transistor organ) - I must admit I started using that when I play house of the rising sun, and it seems pretty close. Brad Saucier
I'm no organ guru, but here is my take. Using tone names from the user manual chart... Jazz organ - tone wheel clean Velo organ - tone wheel through fast rotary speaker with velocity controlled drawbars Rock organ - tone wheel through an overdriven amp Amp organ - tone wheel through slow rotary speaker and amplifier with distortion Gospel organ - tone wheel through fast rotary speaker
