  1. Chandler, I am going to use your method to tweak the piano sound. As remarkable as the preset pianos are for the price, I don't think they are bright enough. I tried layering preset 1 and 2 and set knob one for layer balance and knob 2 for detuning. That helped a lot, along with some reverb, but I think most would not like the way the overtones of both sound clash with each other somewhat. I want the treble range of the piano to "sing" like my grand piano does, and I do think it can happen somehow, at least to some extent. The treble is just dead in the presets.
  2. Love My Lenovo M10 Android Tablet. I bought it specifically for the Casio but I'm using it for lots of other stuff too, even as a TV!
  3. I bought the cover from Amazon that HavingFun recommended up above and I LOVE it! It looks really good, is easy to take on and off and comes with a little bag that I leave hanging in the closet. THANKS!
  4. I you like Android, My Lenovo M10 works great with Chordana Play for Piano. I bought it just for the Casio and it turns out I love using it the rest of the day too!
  5. Thanks Brian, It took me a few readings to understand, but I see how valuable this could be on solo gigs. I appreciate you sending it up, I may give it a try.
  6. Late to the Party, but my Lenovo M10 works great with Chordana Play For Piano.
  7. You guys are out of control. And I LOVE it!
  8. I guess the problem I had was that Chordana Play For Piano was a Cloud program on my Lenovo Android Tablet -- So at work (a music room in the basement) I couldn't get access to the program itself. I probably could have gotten it on my phone with cellular data though.
  9. And of course I'm the guy who is going to ask how you check your firmware version!
  10. On mine I find 001 noticeably, but only slightly, brighter than 003. But I am using i-Loud speakers. I also find 001 generally not bright enough for my taste, and I often use 002. But I have also saved registrations where I layered 001 with 002 or a stage piano (004) which is very bright. I use layer balance on a knob to mix in a bit of brighter piano with the 001 piano. Of course you can always tweak the EQ on 001, which I haven't tried yet. BTW I have the px-S3000, I don't know if you have the px-S1000, and you might not have access to the features I have. In any case, there are a lot of pianos in there!
  11. Thanks, Patrick, I will check out DSP 53 and see what the difference is. You are correct about the fact that you can't mix and match unless they are in the same preset chain, I had forgotten that. Such an amazing instrument. It would benefit so much from a library editor!
  12. So, am I to understand that the difference between DSPs 16 + 17 (Rotary vs. Drive Rotary) is that the second can add overdrive distortion? I guess you could use both at the same time, which would be weird. Ideally, I would like to control the Rotary speed with the expression pedal, but I assume this is not possible and has to be done with a knob? What about using an assignable foot pedal (separate from the SP-34 which I have) just to engage a programmed gradual speed up or slow down of thew rotary?
  13. Thanks for this! It's much easier to read some of these electronically than those fold-out monstrosities!
Thanks, Rich! These sounds are absolutely phenomenal, some of the best I've ever heard from a keyboard. Really appreciate you describing how you did these in the Tone Editing video. I'll never reach that level of creativity, but I always will appreciate a true craftsman!
