Just Alex
Local store has CT-X5000C2. When I asked what is the difference, manager said that this is "newer, updated model". However, can't say anything what has been changed or updated. Any ideas/
Mike Martin
There are not multiple versions of this product. Why he has is listed as a C2 is a mystery to me.
Just Alex
Tomorrow I have plans to visit that shop and will check by myself. Maybe it is just regional variation, with different language set manuals, ac adapter plug and so on.
Just Alex
The instrument itself, says X5000. Both on front and bottom labels. But box clearly says X5000C2. They gave me good discount (Final price was $400), so I bought it. So far can say that both volume level, overall sound quality (If we take all instruments and mix together) is far better then Yamaha PSR E4xx series. However, sound quality of Grand piano and other "deal breaker" tones, such as Sweet trumpet or sweet sax are better on Yamaha E4xx. Yamaha also has far easier to use and understand control panel. Casio saved on buttons for the unknown reasons :) Panning, reverb and DSP effects are better on casio.
Mike Martin
Could you post a picture of the box where it says CT-X5000C2 please?
Just Alex
Here it is. They had several, all have C2 marking here. As they said, previous models here had only serial number, without any lettering.
Mike Martin
That doesn't have anything to do with the model number. Thank you.

Just Alex
I just discovered mine also has similar label, but on another size (without BR letters of course).
Jokeyman123
Might indicate a factory-specific location of manufacture, or specific country code for which market this is intended?
Brad Saucier
All of them have a label like that. C2 does not mean it's a different model keyboard. Mine has C2 on the box as well. As Jokeyman said, it's probably just an assembly line number.
