  1. Brad Saucier's post in Phrases (or songs/midi) - pianokey trigger was marked as the answer
It's possible to play a phrase by pressing a key.  The arpeggiator in each zone can be configured to play a phrase.  It's not possible to assign a different phrase to each key within a zone.  It's also not possible trigger a MIDI or audio file from USB with the keys.
  2. Brad Saucier's post in Best Fit weighted keys for a full time musician... need usb and midi was marked as the answer
PX-560 or PX-5S.  5S has more MIDI controller specific features.  Others with MIDI ports are PX-360 and PX-350.  All of these will have the same physical action as the later CDP models, not to be confused with CDP-S models (different action).  All of them have similar drum kit tones, but the 560 and 5S have detailed drum kit editing tools that dedicated drum machines would be jealous of.  All of them have 1/4" line outs.
  3. Brad Saucier's post in Weird sound on piano tone, but gone after I go to Mixer menu page.... was marked as the answer
Turn down the modulation wheel.  OFF position is all the way down.  It should not be centered like the pitch bend wheel.
  4. Brad Saucier's post in Please advise a way to transfer stereo sound from the PX-S1100 to a PC. was marked as the answer
You will want to study the interface products you are considering.  Many of them feature XLR jacks which are also TRS jacks, combination jacks.  You will know this visually by looking at the XLR jack.  It will have a center hole.  Note that Casio line out jacks are unbalanced TS, not balanced TRS.  A TRS cable can be used, but it will function as a TS cable when connected.  TRS is not necessary.  High quality can be achieved with TS.

Is this a new purchase?  If so, please contact the seller for assistance.
  6. Brad Saucier's post in CT-X5000 VOLUME KNOB HAS NO EFFECT was marked as the answer
Is this a used keyboard?  New would be under warranty for 1 year.
  7. Brad Saucier's post in Can I connect my CT-X5000 to a laptop with Windows 11? was marked as the answer
The CT-X5000 is a universal class compliant USB MIDI controller.  It is plug and play.  Windows 11 supports this and should continue to do so in all future versions.  Welcome to the forums.
  8. Brad Saucier's post in Px360 : any fix to A6 to C#7 velocity defect was marked as the answer
Try blowing air between those keys.
  9. Brad Saucier's post in Applying Delay to Drum Sets is a mess, mostly a bug. "CC74: Cut off" does not work for Drum Sets. was marked as the answer
Not a bug.  As noted above, the PX-560 has a drum tone editing system where each individual instrument within the drum tone can be customized to a high degree, with tools normally only available for a tone as a whole.  Each instrument has it's own pitch, amp, and filter envelopes, as well as effects sends.

Casio PX-5S and MZ-X500/300 share the same advanced drum editing tools.  These also have the same limitations noted above regarding effects and filter cutoff for drum tones specifically.  Like the 560, on the PX-5S and MZ-X500, cutoff assigned to a knob has no effect on drum tones, and mixer settings for delay and chorus have no effect.  Normal tones are not subject to this limitation.  It only applies to drum tones where each key is individually edited, rather than the tone as a whole.
  10. Brad Saucier's post in Pbm with tone, then Tune... was marked as the answer
Press the plus and minus buttons at the same time to reset any value to default.
  11. Brad Saucier's post in PX-S1100 - D5 key oversensitive / dull sounds / wrong weighted keyboard was marked as the answer
The D key is definitely not normal.  It is not responding to velocity correctly.  It would not be like that on a properly functioning PX-S1100.  Since it's brand new, I would proceed with the exchange.
  12. Brad Saucier's post in Major Issue. Casio Privia PX-560M Drums Presets get randomly distorted after saving into user sets when used in Lowers was marked as the answer
    Update your firmware.

  13. Brad Saucier's post in Pbm of Functions with buttons, wheel through screen and settings was marked as the answer
It's okay to turn off the keyboard if the update has not started yet.  Double check your flash drive contents.  You should see the unzipped update file on the USB flash drive, not in any folders.  “CTX50108.upd” has to be the precise file name.
  14. Brad Saucier's post in PX-5S as a MIDI module. was marked as the answer
You can turn off PX-5S sound generator parts using the mixer in system settings.
  15. Brad Saucier's post in (Solved) Casio cdp s-100 stuck on sustain with no reason was marked as the answer
    Steps to solve.

Note: If the keyboard is brand new and this happens out of the box, contact your dealer for assistance.

    1. Confirm pedal is Casio compatible and not faulty.  Test pedal with another keyboard or use a resistance (ohm) meter to test the pedal.

    2. Confirm pedal jack on keyboard is clean, no foreign objects inside of jack, dust or debris.  Clean jack if necessary.  Insert plug several times to help clean, or use a cleaning tool and compressed air.

If the buttons start working again, check your firmware version using my instructions above.  If the version lower than 1.08, update your firmware here.

If the version is already 1.08 or higher and the problem remains, contact Casio in your region for support.  This would be a repair or warranty issue.  Keep in mind that the warranty period is limited.
  18. Brad Saucier's post in Onboard Speakers for Arrangements was marked as the answer
The internal speakers are certainly powerful and can deliver the beans, works well for live performance and having fun.  If you're thinking of getting a little more serious about recording your own tracks and mixing them, I would go with some quality external monitors for that.
  19. Brad Saucier's post in Unwanted Tremolo Effect? was marked as the answer
That is an incorrect statement in regards to a PX-560.  What you found in the menu is not necessary for removing the effect. It is only necessary for disabling the wheel entirely.  It should not be disabled by default.

There is a modulation precisely as shown on page EN-4 of the PX-560 user manual as number 33 (see the areas circled in red in the photo below).  You will find two wheels on left side of the piano.  Furthest left is a pitch bender, and next to it is modulation. The pitch bender is spring loaded and returns to center automatically.  The modulation wheel is designed to remain stationary in any position.  The OFF position for the modulation wheel is all the way down, not centered like the pitch bender.  It is not necessary to use the touch screen to disable the wheel if all you want to do is remove the vibrato effect.  Simply move the wheel down to the off position.

This might gain more attention in the classic Casio section.

He is returning it.  We closed this case in the Facebook group.
  22. Brad Saucier's post in PX-S3000 Sustain Issues was marked as the answer
An acoustic piano does not have dampers on the  strings of high notes.  The Casio emulates that appropriately.   As far as middle and low range anomalies, it's unlikely the piano is malfunctioning.  It's more likely the sound system at the theater is negatively impacting sound quality.  It sounds like a noise gate is active on the system.
  23. Brad Saucier's post in How to match Midi input to the sound that is selected in the keyboard? was marked as the answer
MIDI input needs to receive a bank and program change message (also known as patch select data) in order to know which tone to use for playback.  The keyboard sends this patch select data over MIDI each time you select a tone on the keyboard itself.  If you are recording your own MIDI tracks, perhaps the easiest way to record this data is to simply start recordings before selecting the tone you want.  If you are playing MIDI tracks that are already recorded, but have missing or unwanted patch select data, you'll need to edit the track data.   In addition to the keyboard sending patch data each time a tone is selected on the keyboard, Casio provides a chart in the appendix for most models which lists the bank and program change necessary to select each tone.  This can be used to manually input the data with editing software.

  24. Brad Saucier's post in Differences between PX-560, PX-560M and PX-560MBE ? was marked as the answer
They are the same.  PX-560 is the abbreviated model name.  "M" stands for rhythms.  "BE" stands for the color, blue.
  25. Brad Saucier's post in output audio on the px s7000 from an android device was marked as the answer
The music space app connects Bluetooth MIDI only.  For audio, you will need to go to Bluetooth settings in Android itself and pair a new device.  Look for WU-BT10 Audio.
